Slovak Association of Animated Film Producers aims it activities primarily on development and support of animated films production in Slovakia. Slovak animation has been on the rise last years, thanks to support of Slovak Audiovisual Fund, Ministry of Culture of Slovak Republic and RTVS (Slovak Television and Radio) and cooperation with coproducers and partners from other countries.

APAF has been co-organizer of Visegrad Animation Forum (VAF). The main focus of VAF is to attract new partners, producers, broadcasters, film distributors, find ways of financing animated films and TV series, and also increase professional experience.

The activities of VAF are now being realised under new umbrella name CEE ANIMATION
with three most important events:

access to markets, lectoring, pitching, networking (formerly known as VAF TREBON)

dynamic tailor-made workshop for experienced animated film producers, networking and training event.
The first edition of the workshop, divided in 3 one-week residential modules, will start in 2018.
The pilot edition took place in Ljubljana in December 2017 and brought together 26 professionals from 19 CEE countries, while it helped to build a stronger and more knowledgeable regional network of co-producers, artists, planners, marketers, sellers and financing partners.

dissemination and promotion of short films by promising young talents (formerly known as VAF NEW TALENTS), intended for promotion and alternative distribution of the most talented young animation filmmakers from Central and Eastern Europe. Its aim is to present internationally the best films made by students and debuting artists in a given year to professional and festival audience.
